Bob Sirianni

Senior Geologist

Bob Sirianni brings 15 years of experience in the oil and gas, environmental, and energy transition sectors to CarbonCycle. He started his professional career at ExxonMobil as a geophysical applications specialist, providing quantitative subsurface support within the Exploration, Production, and Research companies. Considered a subject matter expert in multiple geophysical disciplines, he de-risked prospects and play extensions in the Santos Basin (Brazil), Gulf of Mexico, and Angola Block 15. Towards the end of his tenure with ExxonMobil, Mr. Sirianni joined a Business Development team aimed at understanding source rock presence in seismic and co-authored a training module, which was delivered across multiple business lines. After departing ExxonMobil, Mr. Sirianni joined Geosyntec Consultants where he served as department manager for a subsurface visualization and modeling team as well as the CCUS permitting lead, providing reservoir modeling and technical writing support on a variety of projects. He helped clients navigate the complex UIC Class VI permitting requirements in EPA Regions 5, 6, 8, and 9, and with CARB (LCFS), LDCE, and WDEQ. Mr. Sirianni has also helped clients secure over $75M in DOE grant funding through the CarbonSAFE program. Mr. Sirianni graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geological Sciences and received a Master of Science degree in Geology from the University of Florida. Mr. Sirianni is a licensed Professional Geologist in California, Louisiana, and Texas
